A 74-year-old bicyclist was killed while he rode down the streets of Bensonhurst on Memorial Day, police report
Cops say Mai Zhang was riding at the corner of Benson Avenue and Bay 26th Street — just a few blocks from his home — when he was hit by a sedan and killed at the scene.
Police said they are still investigating the incident.
Zhang wasn’t the only person killed by an automobile this weekend.
A car struck a 53-year-old man walking in the Bay Ridge-bound lane near Exit 5 of the Balt Parkway on May 26. The driver remained at the scene, where emergency medical workers pronounced the man dead. It is unclear why the man was walking on the roadway.
Authorities have not yet release his name.
