Geriatric mafioso
A 63-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening a man on Brighton Beach Avenue on April 18, and then taking his phone and bag.
The victim told police that he was near Brighton Seventh Street at 11 am, when the suspect began shouting threats.
“I’m going to get the Russian Mafia on you,” the suspect allegedly barked.
The suspect then grabbed the victim’s bag and his cellphone after the man attempted to call 911, according to police.
Throat slam
A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing a man on W. 16th Street on April 21, taking his iPhone and cash.
The victim told police that he was near Mermaid Avenue at 4:30 pm, when the suspect grabbed his throat and slammed him on the ground. The suspect then rummaged through the victim’s pockets, taking his property.
Cash grab
A 29-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly pilfering cash from the register at a Reigelmann Boardwalk restaurant on March 30.
The eatery’s owner told police that he has a surveillance camera overlooking the register of his restaurant near Coney Island Avenue at 6:17 pm, which shows the suspect counting bills from the register, while removing a few dollars and placing them in her jacket.
