Jay-Z’s going to be “Big Pimpin’ ” some ballers, but first he has to get out of the Nets.
Brooklyn-born rap mogul Jay-Z has a plan in the works to sell off his share in the Brooklyn Nets — a conflict of interest that would prevent the record producer from obtaining the certificate he needs to play superagent for superstar sportsmen, reports the New York Post.
And if he wants to represent pro ballplayers before the NBA draft in June, he’ll have to sell off his stake sooner rather than later. But his less-than-1-percent share made him more a Nets mascot than owner, anyway.
Last week, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports teamed up with Creative Artists Agency to set up his new, professional sports-managment business and signed its first client, Yankee second baseman Robinson Cano.
