A lowlife lifted thousands in cash and jewelry from an 86th Street home on March 29, police report.
The victim told cops he left his house between 11th and 12th avenues at 6 am and returned at 9:50 pm to find all the doors still locked and the windows still closed, but his bedroom in disarray — and $13,000 in cash, six rings, four earrings, three necklaces, two bracelets, two watches, and a Louis Vuitton black leather bag missing.
Train in vain
A pickpocket pilfered a passed-out woman’s money aboard the N train on March 24, police state.
The woman said she had several beverages at a party before boarding an N train at the Jay Street–Metrotech station at 4 am, aiming for the 86th Street and Fourth Avenue R stop.
Unfortunately, the victim said she dozed off and ended up well clear of her mark — at the 86th Street N station near W. Seventh Street. Realizing she was on the wrong line, she hopped aboard a Manhattan-bound N, and stayed awake to transfer to a 95th Street-bound R at 59th Street.
When she finally got to her stop, she looked in her pocketbook and realized someone snatched her $1,000 money order, prepaid debit card, food stamps, and $300 while she slept.
Apple picking
A thief plucked an iPhone right out of its owner’s hand on 62nd Street on March 27, according to cops.
The victim reported that she was just leaving a store near Eighth Avenue and talking on the device at 7:30 pm when the crook ran up and snatched the gadget.
A Galaxy far, far away
A swift-handed outlaw grabbed a Galaxy phone out of the hand of another man on 66th Street on March 28, authorities allege.
The victim said he was leaving a nearby bank and walking toward his car near Fort Hamilton Parkway at 9:30 pm when the villain streaked by, swiping the device.
