A couple’s stroll

Three thugs robbed a man and his wife on Avenue Z on March 25 — taking a cellphone and $700.

The victim told police that he was with his wife near Batchelder Street shortly after midnight when the crooks, each wearing black waist jackets, came up from behind and shoved the man, before taking the woman’s purse and fleeing.

Well-guarded

An 18-year-old man was arrested for attacking a security guard who tried to prevent him from entering a school on Avenue X without permission on March 22.

The guard told police that he was working the door at the place of learning between Batchedler and Coyle streets at 12:20 pm when the suspect tried to barge his way in without permission. When the guard moved to stop him, the suspect slugged him in the face, according to police.

A Wii burglar

A burglar looted jewelry and electronics from a Nostrand Avenue home on March 22.

The victim told police that she left her home between Avenues V and W at 2:30 pm, and returned a half hour later to find the tumbler for her front door’s lock lying on the ground — and that her house was in well order, but missing a few expensive items.

She told police she was missing a Nintendo Wii, DVD player, Louis Vuitton purse, and a Playstation 3.

Nissan nabbed

A crook drove off with a man’s 2009 Nissan Altima he left parked along Avenue R on March 22.

The victim told police he’d parked his vehicle between E. 15th and E. 16th streets at 10 pm, and returned an hour later to find an empty spot where he had last seen his ride.

Marriage magoo

A thief looted a woman’s Avenue X home on March 23, taking cash, jewelry, gadgets, and her wedding ring.

The victim told police that she left her home between E. 28th and E. 29th streets at 8:30 pm, and returned shortly after midnight to find a rear window ajar and her valuables missing — including an iPod, laptop, and even her matrimonial band, cops said.

Corner-store crooks

Two thugs stole a man’s iPhone on Avenue on March 24.

The victim told police that he was between Van Sicklen and W. Fourth streets on his way out of a corner store at 2:15 am when one of the crooks grabbed his phone from a holster at his waist and threw the victim into the street.

The crook and a cohort then fled south down Van Sicklen Street, while the victim jumped in his car and gave chase, following the goons as far as the Marlboro Houses, where he lost them, cops said.

Diamonds and cash

A crook ransacked a woman’s Ocean Avenue apartment on March 24 — taking $5,000 and a pair of diamond earrings.

The victim told police that she had left her home between Avenues R and S at 6:15 pm, and returned about four hours later to find that a fire escape window was ajar and her valuables were missing.
