Police arrested a 25-year-old man who they say threatened a man — with a sword — and shoved him against a wall on Bedell Lane on March 15.
The victim told police that he was between 88th and 89th steets at 3 pm when the sword-baring suspect uttered a deranged statement.
“Come with me,” he muttered. “I am God.”
The suspect then punched victim in his face and shoved him against a brick wall, fracturing the man’s facial bones and spraining three of his fingers, cops said.
When thugs attack
A 22-year-old man was arrested for beating a man on E. 88th Street on March 15.
The victim told police that he was between Bedell Lane and Foster Avenue at 3:15 am when the suspect assaulted him with a flurry of blows to the face and gut.
