Bang bang

A 36-year-old man was arrested for firing off rounds from a pistol inside a W. 33rd Street parking lot on Feb. 25.

A witness told police that he was between Mermaid and Surf avenues at 11:05 pm when he heard a number of gun shots and saw the suspect standing in the parking lot holding a pistol. When police arrested the suspect, he told them he was, “shooting at nothing,” cops said.

Tool time

A 54-year-old man was arrested for stealing a power drill from the utility closet of a W. 24th Street building on Feb. 19.

The building’s captain of security told police that he reviewed surveillance footage inside the building between Mermaid and Surf avenues at 2:55 pm, which showed the suspect leaving the building with the drill.
