Choked up
A thug grabbed a woman by the neck and threw her to the ground on Bay 17th Street, then took off with her handbag, on Feb. 3, according to cops.
The victim reported that she was between 86th Street and Benson Avenue at 5:25 am when the fiend ran up behind her and seized her around the throat.
“Give me your phone,” the villain said as he pushed her down.
The crook then yanked away her purse and fled toward Bath Avenue.
Punch buggy
A pair of punks hit a man in the face repeatedly in a botched attempt to steal his cellphone aboard the N train on Feb. 3, police report.
The victim told cops he boarded the train at the New Utrecht Avenue station near 62nd Street at 4 am, and the crooks sat down on either side of him as the train pulled out of the Eighth Avenue stop. They then struck him in the face.
“Give me your phone,” one of the thugs ordered.
The victim refused, and the two goons struck him again and again in the head, before fleeing into another car — without getting anything from their prey.
Cheapskate
Two lowlifes tried to rob a man of $20 and then sliced his hand open with a box-cutter on 81st Street on Feb. 5, according to authorities.
The victim said he was sitting in his car near New Utrecht Avenue at 5 am when the dastardly duo came up and demanded money.
“Give me $20. If you call the police I will kill you,” one of the thugs said.
The victim refused to fork over the dough, and said he would call the cops — at which point the first thug pulled out a utility knife and slashed the man’s hand. The pair then fled down New Utrecht Avenue in the direction of 80th Street.
Spare the rod
A terrible twosome smashed a man in the face with a metal rebar, then stole his wallet, on 81st Street on Feb. 6, cops say.
The victim told police that he was between 19th and 20th avenues at 8:35 pm when the pair of punks ran up and cracked him in the head with the piece of metal.
“Give me the money,” the rod-wielding fiend said.
The other lowlife then raided the victim’s pockets, pulling out his wallet — with $400 in cash inside. The two then fled toward 20th Avenue.
Cash back
Two gun-toting robbers held up a 17th Avenue bodega for $20 on Feb. 7 — then returned the money moments later, police claim.
The cashier said the goons entered the store at the corner of 78th Street at 8:45 am and pulled out a black firearm. The clerk opened the till, which only contained $20 in cash. The perps took the money and fled, but returned a few minutes later and handed the bill back, before running away again.
Peek-a-bam!
A ruffian came up behind a woman on New Utrecht Avenue and put his hands over her eyes — then knocked her to the ground and stole her wallet and iPhone on Feb. 7, according to police.
The victim said she was walking away from the 71st Street D station at 10:35 pm when, suddenly, somebody covered her eyes. The crook then threw her to the ground and punched her in the face, then took her mobile device and wallet with $250 in cash inside.
