This customer was wrong
A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly refusing to pay for his dinner at a Coney Island Avenue eatery — and going on a rampage against the staff — on Jan. 31.
An employee told police that he was working in the restaurant near Brighton Beach Avenue at 2:10 am when the suspect took a seat and ordered a $6 plate of food. After the suspect finished his meal, he refused to foot the bill and when the waiter protested, the man became enraged and hurled his cellphone at the victim, assailed him with a flurry of blows, and then smashed the establishment’s tip jar, which he then stole before fleeing, cops said.
