Report that!
A 38-year-old woman was arrested for harassing and attacking a police officer insider her E. 54th Street apartment on Jan. 12, because the officer wouldn’t file a police report for a non-existent crime.
According the report, the officer was between Avenues J and K at 9:14 pm when the suspect invited her into the apartment so she could file a police report against her landlord. After hearing the suspect’s complaints, however, the officer told the woman that no report would be filed, because no crime was committed. The woman became irate after hearing that no report would be filed, according to police.
“Ya’ll no f------- help! I call you out here to help me, you’re not helping me. I want a report,” the suspect allegedly screamed at the officer.
When the officer asked for the woman’s driver’s license, the suspect allegedly snatched up a bottle and began waving it at the officer, while shouting threats.
“I’m not giving you no f------- ID, I need a f------- report!” the suspect allegedly snarled.
After refusing to put down the bottle, the suspect was placed under arrest, but only after a great deal of kicking and screaming, according to police.
Head locked
Police arrested a 22-year-old man who they say robbed a man on Veterans Avenue on Jan.10, taking $150.
The victim told police that he was near E. 65th Street at 9:30 pm when the suspect ambushed him, grabbing him in a headlock and then punching his face. The suspect then looted the suspect’s pockets, taking his cash, cops said.
